Body Mechanics
Full-body work: retiming, cleanup and getting weight to read across a whole figure.

Longer, less tidy, closer to how the work actually goes. These are recorded sessions rather than scripted lessons, so expect to see the mistakes and the fixes.
Two series so far. Turn works through retiming and cleaning up a turn, from the pelvis outward to the head. Sit covers a sitting animation. Both are about revising existing animation rather than starting from nothing, which is most of what animation actually is and almost none of what gets taught.
Turn5 parts
Retime the Pelvis
Fixing the speed of the pelvis first, because everything else in the body inherits from it.
Retime Legs and Hips
Carrying the pelvis retime down into the legs, making the foot slide read naturally, and counter rotating controllers against each other.
Clean Up the Pelvis in the Curve Editor
Polishing the pelvis and hips properly, in position and orientation, so the lower body is finished before the upper body starts.
Clean Up the Spine and Arms
The upper body: chest rotation, lead and follow, and the overlap running through arms, chest, neck and head.
Popping Cleanup
The final pass. Hunting down pops, hitches and everything else standing between the shot and a clean read.
